Its Time To Fight

CRPF JawansYesterday morning while on twitter a tweet shocked me. I immediately felt the pain in my heart. The tweet said “76 Soldiers of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Killed in Maoist Naxalite Attack”. in the forests of Chhattisgarh state in eastern India.

In the evening when i was watching news most of the news channels were showing the Sania-shoaib marriage issues and all other stuffs but not about the soldiers. Our media dont respect the soldiers or what? or Sania-shoaib news was more important than the Naxalite Attack. It wasn’t a small attack, losing 76 well trained CRPF Soldiers is a big deal but still there was a calm reaction from the govt and our govt still thinks they can solve these issues by talking to the naxals.

One thing is for sure the naxals must be getting a good support of the local people and the corrupt politicians. From where does they get money to buy high tech weapons and land mines.

Never heard a single word from Human Rights people when our soldiers are killed . Aren’t the soldiers human? They will raise their voice when Indian police mistreat the terrorists and other unacceptable humans, but never against the sons of the soil.
The time has come for the people to raise their voices against the treatment which our soldiers are getting against the government. And ask the government to stop playing with the soldiers and their families and take some serious action against these sort of terror.

And please someone tell the govt. that not every problem is solved by mere talks, sometimes have to change the style to solve the problem.

  1. Yes, its the local politicians who are corrupt and are either in cohoots with the naxalites, or who have a vested interest in letting the problem continue (i.e. extra funding from the centre, extra spending on security and welfare schemes. we all know extra spending = more diversion of money)

But once again, in true Indian Middle class style, all we can do is watch all this unfolding with a tear in our eye.

  2. Right, very right!!! Whether it is a cop or any soldier, his sacrifice is always ignored. News and media have become more commercialized, glamorized searching for cheap gossips on make up and break ups. Enough is enough.Government should take a stand to provide a monetary relief to their families.
I pay homage to the brave soldiers who faced the bullets to protect our motherland from terror attacks.

  3. @rajesh we have always watched this things with tears in our eyes which just last for couple of days , but now we shouldn’t watch this stuffs of government silently.

We have lost to many lives in past, its time for a pay back. Its now or never situation for us. @Prashant

  4. @Vishal. We are passive people. When terrorists came to our doorstep, all we did was light candles. Most of us didn’t even other to vote! Its the most basic thing we can do.

We have to get involved more deeply into decision making at the political level, make sure our views count and thats possible by only making sure our votes count!

I felt a good opportunity for the educated youth of this city was the membership drive of the Indian Youth Congress which ended in February. Although I personally do not subscribe to the current Congress ideology, I sincerely feel that greater involvement in such things will most certainly be a step forward.

My views in deatail on the subject, My blog post “Why you should join the Indian Youth Congress” http://mumbaimarketer.blogspot.com/2010/02/why-you-should-join-indian-youth.html

  5. I agree totally. Its a menace and in the words of our Home Minister, the bucks stops with you. Of course he was referring to Buddadeb but now after Dantewada situation, I guess the buck stops with the murderers themselves.

  6. The naxal menace was created by the state. And the onus lies now on the state to end it! what is to be seen is that no innocent lives are lost in the operation.Because whenever two great powers clashed, the mango people suffered!
